Our hammocks are made of silk, so they are delicate and can tear if students wear any sharp objects or clothing. Shirts with sleeves are required and all jewelry must be taken off for class - so please leave any valuables at home. Wear comfortable clothes. The following is not allowed: jeans, clothes with zippers, buttons or snaps, belts, clothes with sequins, or anything with sharp or rough edges.
The hammock enables you to do things that may not always be possible on your mat. As a moving, shifting, three-dimensional yoga prop, the hammock supports and cradles you while allowing you to push the limits of your yoga practice further than imagined. Throughout class, you always have the choice to participate in inversions, or just opt for more familiar poses. There will be an opportunity to hold poses and inversions for an extended time to allow the body to open while connecting to the breath.

The Yoga Garden in Freeport is truly a hidden gem. From the moment you step inside, you're greeted with a sense of calm, warmth, and welcome that’s hard to find anywhere else. The space is peaceful, beautifully maintained, and filled with good energy.
What makes this place special, though, is Jamie, the owner. She is incredibly kind, genuine, and attentive. Whether you're brand new to yoga or have been practicing for years, she meets you exactly where you are with compassion and encouragement. Her classes are thoughtfully guided, blending mindfulness, movement, and a deep sense of care. It’s clear she puts her heart into everything she does.
If you’re looking for a place to practice yoga, find a little peace, or just feel supported and seen, I can’t recommend The Yoga Garden is enough. Jamie has created something truly special here. - Tammy Kearce··from Google
